    Getting Ready to Apply to Grad Schools??

    Here's a simple time table to keep you on track and motivated: 

    Application deadlines vary, so be sure to contact the school for this important information.  Many are Jan-March of your senior year but DOUBLE CHECK! 

    Six Months Prior to Applying: 
    Research programs, schools
    Contact the appropriate schools for applications, deadlines, etc.
    Register and study for the appropriate graduate admission test
    Investigate scholarships, fellowships, graduate or teaching asstships
    Ask Professors for Letters of Recommendation

    Three Months Prior to Applying:
    Finalize your essay
    Gather all necessary admissions materials (transcripts, letters, etc.)
    If you haven't already, take required graduate admission test
    Continue looking into Financing your education 

    **Don't be afraid to contact the graduate admissions office of the schools to which you're applying.  They're there to help and guide you!!!!

    Be sure to check with the particular grad school to which you're applying. This list is an example of typical materials you'll probably need, but each school may differ! 


    • School Application & Fee
    • Transcripts from all colleges attended 
    • Three letters of recommendation from instructors, key people in your field 
    • Statement of Goals or Personal Essay 
    • GRE, GMAT, LSAT, etc, admissions test scores.  You must register (fee) for the appropriate test at least 6 months prior to applying to grad school. 
    • Once you have submitted your materials, we recommend you contact the grad school or admissions personnel to be sure they've received all of your materials.  
    • Start early!! Apply early!!
